Home remedies for gastritis

Rice gruel is one of the easiest and best home remedy for gastritis. patient can take 1-2 bowl of it 2 times a day. if gastritis is severe gruel is taken in large quantity.

Curd is recommended as one of the home remedy for gastritis.

•Juice extracted from raw potato has lots of medicinal property. it has a magical effect for treating gastritis.

•Take a small piece of ginger and extract juice from it. Take a tablespoon of this juice and add a pinch of rock salt in it. Also add a pinch of roasted and slightly crushed cumin seeds in it. You can consume this juice two times a day. After taking this take a glass of buttermilk. This natural treatment for gastritis helps to ensure proper digestion of food. Also Chew 2-3 small pieces of ginger seeds with salt .this will give fast relief from the uneasiness caused due to gastritis.

•Patient suffering from gastritis should drink plenty of water. Normal recommended amount is 8-9 glasses of water. water will relax the stomach ; clear all the toxic material inside it. It keeps the body temperature cool and normal.

Diet for gastritis patients.
The patient should undertake a fast for two or three days or more, depending on the severity of the condition. He should be given only warm water to drink during this period. This will give rest to the stomach and allow the toxic condition causing the inflammation to subside. After the acute symptoms subside the patients should adopt an all fruit diet for the next three days and take juicy fruits like apples, pears, grapes, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple, peaches and melons. He may thereafter gradually embark upon a balanced diet consisting of seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables and fruit.

The patient should avoid the use of alcohol, tobacco, spices and condiments, meat, red pepper, sour foods, pickles, strong tea and coffee. He should also avoid sweets, pastries, rich cakes and aerated waters. Curds and cottage cheese should be used freely.
